History

On the 21st April, 1955 Plumbers' Supplies Co-operative Ltd was formed by a group of members from the Master Plumbers Association. Post war material shortages and the fact that plumbers were unable to obtain traders' price discounts inspired this group of plumbers to join forces to alleviate these problems.

Heading into the future the objective of the Co-operative remains unchanged. Owned by the plumbers by way of shareholdings, the Co-operative is a major contributor in maintaining market prices at profitable levels to members.

The combination of a dedicated Board of Directors, management, staff and in particular the support and loyalty of members has grown the Co-operative from its humble beginnings of 41 shareholders and one warehouse outlet to membership now exceeding 5,000 and a network of 29 branches with ongoing plans in place to further expand the branch network.
